We Ended Your Whole Alliance

The conflict with <STFU> has ended. Under the combined pressures from asymmetric warfare in Solitude preventing their line members from getting any PvE done, internal pressure from people being pestered to pay taxes on 3mil worth of moonpixels, and bad decisions on the part of leadership, <STFU> has packed up and left. With activity levels dropping, we suspected they were on the verge of collapsing. When their first Athanor died (thanks to Shadow Cartel jumping on the structure timer), we knew the end was very close.

 When their second structure died - completely undefended - we knew it was over.

And so ends the (short lived) dynasty of I Will End Your Whole... alliance. Ironically named, considering they got their whole alliance ended by a posse of rag-tag small time pirates. In their place we now have <WHBOO>, a group which will actually benefit Solitude with it's presence.

The War of Tears

[QUOKA] left <STFU> alliance a few weeks ago, when it became clear that the alliance was dying and would soon be insolvent. Fair weather friends, I guess. They used <STFU> to intimidate and bully Garsa out of their structures, and then when things didn't seem to be going so well, left the alliance - with the structures in tow.

This didn't stop the conflict between [QUOKA] and [SW-TC]. Leadership had decided that [QUOKA] is not a trustworthy group, and doesn't really offer us anything of value other than killmails and salt. We have decided that if Cryin' Andy doesn't like us killing his line members, his only options are either a) HTFU, or b) leave. So Cryin' Andy is mad - really mad. His anger has crossed the threshold into full on babyrage. 

 

But why is Cryin' Andy so mad? It's just a little PvP, right?

Nope.

His corp is now at the point where they need 8 combat ships in order to defend 1 lone Venture gas huffing, or we'll kill it. We won't blue him and we won't pay tax to mine his moons. We won't even agree to a NAP. The only way he gets any peace from us is to leave Solitude. They tried leaving The Crown; setting up mining operations in Yvae...something. But unfortunately they provided us some free intel:

lol Oops. I stopped over to say hello, and their miners promptly docked up because their Orca was "full". They stayed docked for the rest of the day. I guess that Orca must have been really "full". It remains "full" to this day, with zero [QUOKA] presence in the system.

In short: Cryin' Andy can't get his way, and he's, in common parlance: butthurt.

Cryin' Andy has tried diplomacy, but it didn't work, because his style of diplomacy boils down to demanding his own way over and over and over, without any compromise. Over the weeks, as it became clear to Cryin' Andy that he wasn't going to get anywhere with us he tried a different tact; instead of whining and groveling to us, he began whining and groveling to various other groups in Solitude. The response he got from everyone was pretty much the same: "not our problem, don't care. If the blog bothers you, report it."

Reported I have been. Done nothing, the GMs have. It seems CCP doesn't care about Cryin' Andy's personal issues, either.

When trying to gossip like a highschool chick didn't work, he began to issue threats to people. "Lock Xuixien out of your structures, or we will destroy them!" The response was a shrug. The next day, [QUOKA] issued a declaration of war against a bunch of people in Solitude. One of them I've never heard of. Everyone is still shrugging. Some of us are laughing. Cryin' Andy's tactic here is to get us to leave by blowing up structures that we barely use. He doesn't want us to "have clones", or something.

Imagine paying $15/month to play EVE Online, and when you log in, you're hunted constantly by 1 guy who will give you no peace, and then you have to get into a fleet and grind structures in HiSec - all because your CEO has the emotional IQ of a 14 year old boy.

 

And so begins the War of Tears; a war of ineffectual rage that will end, not with a bang, but with a whimper, and with the status quo of The Crown completely unchanged. Any structures that are destroyed will simply be replaced and life will go on. Cryin' Andy will rage. And thank god. My blog needed content.
